Time for my June reading update! Even with a busy schedule, I was able to get through quite a few books this month - yay Kindle and extra yay for an awesome girlfriend who lends me excellent books! :)

On week 27 for the year, I've finished 22 new books and 10 re-reads; not quite on target for a new book every week, but close! I still have the last 3 Harry Potters to work on, and Amy has some other classics which I have not read (The Neverending Story, how have I not read this?), plus I'm going to be getting my library card(s) in Clear Lake this week. I'm really excited!

 There are quite a few cool books in the Kindly Daily Deal today, but the standout is the first collection of Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar books, Swords and Deviltry. Hooray for Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser!

Wow, another short story collection from another great author is featured in the Kindle Daily Deal!

Michael Swanwick has written some classics (Iron Dragon's Daughter, Stations of the Tide, Vacuum Flowers) and his collection The Dog Said Bow-Wow is available for $1.99. Nice!

I just finished Solaris, and realized that I hadn't posted anything about my year-to-date reading, so here it is!

There are some books that I'll read over and over again; looks like 2014 was the year of Gibson. I'm about halfway through the second of Jeff Vandermeer's trilogy of Southern Reach novels (Authority), and feel the need to revisit Mary Stewart as well. Not a bad year, so far, but I think I'll fall far short of the 52 books I was hoping to read for the year. Oh well!
