Today was an all-day training affair at work; during the first half, we were given the results of a profiling test called Insights Discovery; it's based on the work of Carl Jung. Your personality is broken down into 4 colors, with different weights assigned to different colors (red, yellow, green, and blue). Each color has specific traits, and people have a different mix of colors; here are mine (randomly, I just took a Myers-Briggs index test; I am an INTJ)

I am a 'Coordinating Observer' - in my overview, it states:
Josh is a precise and disciplined person with high standards and expectations of himself...

He is intensely curious and is always seeking to find coherence in endless amounts of data...

Josh is an analytical thinker, who prefers to be fully objective in his work. He is concerned with schedule and system and appears to some to be a very private person. Socially, he appears as shy to all but his closest friends. Josh is a curious and keen student of all that is going on around him. He is driven by a high sense of allegiance and obligation...

The "concern with schedule and system" part is 100% correct; there's also a lot about my expectations (of myself: high, also correct) and my dislikes and weaknesses (uncertainty is maddening, over evaluation, appearing unemotional). All in all, it was a pretty accurate instrument.  We were given tips on how to work with people who have very different personalities, including those that would normally grate on us, which was nice.

The facilitator was surprised that my conscious and less conscious personae were the same; evidently there is some drift between the 'work' and 'home' personae for most people. She called me "Mr. What You See Is What You Get" for most of the training, which of course was pretty embarrassing.
